So, I had my birthday party tonight, I haven’t slept yet, it’s still Friday, although it’s dated Saturday because it’s 4:30 am so then I don’t have to post later today. Bwahahaha.
As I was saying, I had my birthday party tonight, my 23rd one. Although I’m not 23 until tomorrow officially. And it was laid back and cool. The usual suspects were there: Joel, Erica, Ben, Brian, Other Joel, and Eric. There were others invited but for various reasons they could not attend, and that’s okay, although sad. We sat around talking and listening to music and eating pizza for 3 hours and then went into the basement to partake in some Singstar (VH, if you have a PS2, get Singstar, I feel you will enjoy it as much as I do) and Super Mario Galaxy. And that was it. No cake, no presents (well, Joel bought me presents {Munchin Impossible, and Once Upon a Time [two card games I've been eye-ing]} and cards which were rather hilarious, I may have to take pictures), no planned out activities, just hanging out talking, drinking, and playing video games, and I don’t think I could’ve been happier… well, if other people had been able to come too, it may have made it better.
I partook in my tradition of Jager Bombs (I think I may be the only person in the world that enjoys the flavour) and Red Headed Sluts (Mmm, tasty, again with Jager… hmmm, a theme?) and I bought a bottle of Goldschlager. This was purchased for the sole reason that I don’t feel like driving to Geneseo tomorrow to get my Kelly’s birthday shot, so I will be recreating it wherever I am tomorrow night as it becomes midnight. Wooo firey six ounce shots of Goldschlager! Mmm, alcohol… I think I need to re-do my undergrad years with more random drinking. Yes, that’s a healthy mindset…
So here I am, lying in bed next to the love of my life while he dreams a little dream and sleeps like a baby. Once I finish blogging, I will be snuggling up to him and being oh so happy. Well, I’m pretty happy right now, except that I don’t feel like I’m ready to go to sleep. I just stopped playing Super Mario Galaxy so he wouldn’t feel bad about coming to bed. What was I talking about?
Oh, right! Birthdays. Read the rest of this entry »
